Join John Dwyer as he takes us back in history portraying a solider serving in the Continental Army. John will explore the role the New Jersey militia played in the Revolutionary War.
Topics covered include what a New Jersey militia member wore, what they carried, how they fought, what they ate, what they were paid, and what they did to support Washington’s Army.
Audience members will get an up-close, hands-on experience as John passes around typical gear and belongings of a solider.
He will also discuss militia training, Tories in New Jersey, the raid on Flemington, stopping the London Trade, and American privateers.
